Hi, my name is Kerryn & I am very excited to be working with you all this year.

From as early as I can remember I have loved nothing more in my life than to be on the stage. Now as an adult, my one love in life is passing on my years of experience in the industry to all our bright young stars of the future.

I have studied dance since the age of 3, covering various styles as a competent & competitive performer. Whilst Jazz is my strength, my experience includes the completion of Ballet exams through the Royal Academy of Dancing, with distinction & honour results. I have also studied Modern, Contemporary, Tap, & was highly successful in the competition circuit with Highland (Scottish) Dancing.

My focus for the last 9 years has been on my music career. I have studied a Bachelor of Contemporary Music at Southern Cross University, majoring in Vocals. I have gained most of my knowledge through my experience as a singer, pianist & songwriter. Working every weekend since the age of 15, I have performed with various artists in venues around the country.

I have also been involved in many musical theatre productions over the years, at both amateur & professional levels. Some highlights include being offered the role of ‘Cosette’ in ‘Les Miserables’ & the role of ‘Rizzo’ in Grease’.

Whether it is singing, piano, dance, or any other area of the performing arts, I enjoy nothing more than passing my experience on to those who love to “have a go”.

I really look forward to meeting you all, and look forward to the fun we will have learning & ‘shining’ together. Remember….. “EVERYONE’S A STAR!!”

Hello everyone

My name is Nyssa Berger and I am the Musical Theatre Director at Star Performance Studio. I specialise in teaching singing, guitar and piano. I can also teach drums!

I graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of popular music degree in 2007. As my degree suggests I specialise in contemporary music and singing styles with the focus on voice projection, self confidence and of course fun. I am classically trained and therefore have a clear understanding of how the voice works and how to prevent damage from bad habits we all tend to have.

I look forward to working with my Star Performance Students and also offer the same lessons to any adult interested in learning how to sing or play a musical instrument.
